Trip to araku.... last sunday...by road...the climate was amazing...the hill-terrain view was breath taking...

villagers..

Ghat road...
On the way to borra caves..

Dont leave this unread...!!click the pic for larger view...

The entrance to borra caves..!
This shiva lingam is said to be formed on its own and is believed to be increasing due to continuous drops falling from above..

ressembles a human brain... actually formed due to calcium carbonate..

This piece looks like corn..a closer shot wud b more realistic...
can u c some form like shiridi sai in the middle of the pic? unbelievable rite? power went off at this place..so clicked it using the guide's torch...!

The one at the end looks like a mushroom..!

It is believed some forms are developed naturally....and they found them close to some of the mythological stories... can u c the form of a crocodile and elephant?do u remember the story v read in our childhood? GAJENDRA MOKSHAM***...looks like its true isnt it?!wheteher it is carved or formed naturally..good work isnt it?
*** sirikim jeppadu
shanku chakramul dhariyimpadu
chedoyu sandhimpadu.....? do u remember this poem? from gajendra moksham in Bhagavatam...

the interiors of the caves...

wanna know the story how they found these caves? late 1870's..a cow fell into these caves from the hole there( see the pic)..the villagers who were in search of this cow found that there is a river beside these caves from where the cow came out..they found these caves n many myths n mysteries developed in those days...

monkeys near the caves..tried to grab our food...was afraid for a few moments..

Lovely view...

on the way to araku valley from borra caves..
a man selling the hand made articles by those tribals there..

the entrance to the water falls... have to cross this part to go there.. looks very easy!? but deep enuf!! i was wondering when was the last time i had to take long jump!!!may be in school days!

tortoise near the water falls..

Near the water falls.. these kids rocked it..they had a handful of cameras capturing them..they swam vth ease...it was very slippery..!
entrance to the gardens..

a small farm house in the midst of the gardens... clicked it while travelling in a small toy train..a bit blurred..! Panasa pallu( jack fruit)...sold jus for Rs 10 each..! in the garden..

In padmavati gardens...
